Linking Requirements

This is a valuable resource for our web site visitors, therefore please be aware of the following requirements. This is to protect you and us from 'link spam' that does nothing to improve your ranking, and can in fact harm it.

For more information about ethical search engine marketing, please see the Search Engine Professionals website. The requirements for sites we link to are summarised below:

• Your site MUST be relevant to ours. Relevancy is king in the new search engine algorithms.
• We must be able to locate clearly a link from your site to ours within 3 mouse clicks of your home page.
• Your web site must be Search Engine visible/friendly i.e have a home page with a Google page rank of 4 and above and your links page should be ranked.
• Your web site must be written in English.
• We will not link to sites that are pharmaceutical, gambling or adult related, contain hate or illegal content, or which link to such sites.
• Do NOT name your link pages link*.htm as Google doesn't like this - we are not a link farm!
• The link page URLs that you use on your site must be static - ie. no ? or & characters in them - Search Engines can’t always follow such links.
• We don't like linking to sites with many (50+) links per page.
• Please rotate your links - we do not wish to be on linkpage_32.htm because other sites list themselves as 123.com, aaaabc.com etc.
• Your site shouldn’t use automatic pop-ups.
